The help page will help you better understand Da Biz section and will hopefully answer your questions.
What is Da Biz section?
Da Biz section is an area of IllMuzik for certain members (Staff, VIP, Producers) to collaborate with one another on various projects. In the past if members wanted to collaborate with each other they had to send PM's or emails to get a project going. With Da Biz section, members can now create projects all in an organized fashion.
How come I can't access this section?
Da Biz is only for Staff, VIP, and Producers section members. If you would like to be able to access Da Biz section then you must become a part of either the VIP or Producers sections.
How does everything work?
In order to get started you must first activate your profile. Follow the instructions by clicking on the "My Projects" page. Once it's activated you can then start by sending a "Shout" to another member. If that member accepts your Shout then a Project is automatically created between the two of you. You will both be the "Project Leaders". At this point you can do various things on your project page, you can even invite additional members to your project. Those members will only be able to do certain things on the project page because they are "Additional Members".
How do I send a Shout?
Go to the Directory page where you'll see everyone that is currently in Da Biz section. Click on a profile to view that member's profile and then you will notice an image at the bottom of the page that says "Send a Shout". Click on that image and follow the instructions.
How do I know if someone has sent me a Shout?
Go to the My Shouts page and click on the "Shouts Received" image.
What if I don't want to accept a Shout?
Just click on "Decline", enter a reason for declining, and that's it!
What happens if I accept a Shout?
If you accept a Shout then a project will automatically be created. You and the member that sent you the Shout will become Project Leaders.
How do I send an Invite?
Sending an Invite is similar to sending a Shout. Go to the Directory page and click on a member's profile. You will always see the "Send a Shout" image at the bottom but you won't always see the "Send an Invite" image. The reason is because you obviously can't invite someone if you don't have any current projects! So if you have a project that is open and you're working on it, and you're also one of the Project Leaders, then you will see the "Send an Invite" image. Otherwise you won't see anything.
What happens if I accept an Invite?
If you accept an invite you will see a link that will take you to the project page you were invited to. However, you will only be able to edit certain parts of the page because you will be listed as an "Additional Member".
Do I have to enter all my information on the My Profile page?
No. You can enter as little or as much as you want.
What do I do when the project is complete and ready to show to everyone?
On the project page you will see a link at the bottom to mark your project as complete. Click on that link and then follow the instructions.
Will I be able to change my uploaded song at a later date?
Yes.
Can I upload more than 1 song to my project?
No.
What's the maximum size that my MP3 can be?
Approximately 5MB.
How come I can't change the project name at a later date?
You cannot change the project name at a later date because the name is needed to create the MP3 and M3U files, so changing it would mess things up! So make sure you have the right project name set before you mark your project as complete!
Can I delete a project later on?
Yes. As long as you are one of the Project Leaders.
