When i was at college, i could swear that someone demonstrated a sample editor where you could use the mouse to erase parts of the waveform that you didn't want.
Now i'm looking , i'm having dificulty finding one or getting info.
What i want is to be able to alter the sound envelope of the sample,
I just got a cracked copy of ACID, and though i dont really understand how to use it properly yet,... it don't look like it will do what i want.
Anyone got any ideas as to what i'm looking for ?
Charly.....
Sounds like you could use Cooledit or Sound Forge. They're both good programs, you can cut samples with them and apply envelopes as well.

Thanks Pug.... I'll check them out
I use Cool Edit and it's very powerful for editing. I used to use SoundForge but I just got tired of it. But they're both very good for editing samples.
If you need full versions, I can try and hook you up. Shhhh... Email me if you want.
Cough.. MORPHEUS...Cough cough heheh
Hey Pug, if you need some cough syrup, I can hook you up too!

I'm just trying out Soundforge 4.5
not the latest i know, i'll see what it'll do for me
Meanwhile........
I just down loaded a shareware prog to convert real audio into .wav files .
When i tried it , the files came out with no audio , so i guess summat's up there. I just tried it with Soundforge , but it tells me the format (.ra , .rm ) is not supported.
Any ideas what will do this ? I have 18 hours of real audio waiting to be converted, ha ha.
Cheers
Charly
Are you talking about Streambox Ripper? It's on the software page, but it only allows 10 rips. It's very good though.

Download the program Morpheus at
http://www.musiccity.com/
It's a file sharing program, and chances are you'll find any program that you need on there.
