Non - XL MPC question.

Can you truncate with a NON-xl? Im looking all over and dont see it.

which non XL?? truncate in terms of my old 3000 just simply meant to cut the sample according to the zone you set up....there is no real truncate in that sense, what are you doing?

i have a 2000. im tring to get the samples to stop when i hit another pad. like in the just blaze video. i think that is truncating.

Go into Program mode, then PARAM (F2 i think), then highlight the field where you select the way the sample is played (POLY, MONO, or NOTE OFF) and hit OPEN WINDOW. That brings up the window where you can select two other pads to cut off/mute the sample.

This is for the XL, though it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was the same, or a very similar procedure for the classic 2K. Give it a go.
