What is your favorite sound to sample???

Yo what is everybody's favorite instrument to sample???? like what type of sound do you like to use for melodies or to add flavor????


Me personally I like flutes and am captivated by them.... they can rally add rhythm and stlye to my style of beats... And the right flute can make all the difference.... Hopefully I will double my library of flutes soon...

strings have too long attack and decay times, which makes it hard to chop and rearrange them.

whatever sounds good - I'm not very good at naming instruments that I sample :p but I can say my main source has been old classical cds.

Definitley some rhodes!!! Aw man I love weird rhodes effects. IT WAS THE NEPTUNES!!!! THEY MADE ME DO IT!!!

I also love guitars but I cant play one for peanuts. So most of my guitar sounds are samples. I play keys so sometimes I try and emulate a guitar on my board but its hard to get strums and that little 'weeek' sound you get from moving your fingers across the strings (which I just love)

I love strings, flutes, organs, weird electronic sounds are great too.

Ive even made sounds on my own. I did this one beat with 'brazilian drums'. I recorded myself beating on my computer tower and tweaked it. It came out tight I must say.
