Whats the best vocal micophone?

hey, i was wondering what is the best vocal microphone. I want to start rapping over my beats and i wanted to know what is the best microphone and also what is the best way to record vocals, like with which software.

That would kinda depend on how much money you want to spend on a mic but if money doesn't matter...I like the SM PRO AUDIO SM MC03...it's a great sounding condenser mic that will capture your voice very naturally. It runs about $550 and comes with everything except the stand. Another great mic is an Audio-Technica AT3060 which runs about $600.
If you want a good mic at a cheaper price, B.L.U.E. has a new dynamic mic called "The Ball" that is good and it will handle up to 146db w/o distorting (that's mad loud!).
And if you want something even cheaper, I would suggest SAMSON's C03 condenser mic which runs about $100. It has alot of bang for the buck.

I use Cool Edit Pro to recording my vocals i think its a god programm ro rec.

We have a Rode mic...I think it's excellent...can't remember the number of it...it cost something like $ 600...not too expensive.

i use a sm-58 sure. it sounds tight. we got a bunch of other stuff kickin round for cool sounds.
