View Full Version : tracking an mpc to mbox 2?

what type of cables do I need to track the beats from the mpc...2 pro tools using the mbox 2? I also got 8 outs on the mpcs..and I know that the mbox has 2...wut type of cables should i run> can I also track the left and right stereo out from the mpc into 1 /4 going into the mbox and just solo all the tracks? wut would be easier.....cuz I havent' bought cables yet im not sure how to plug it in yet....

Since the Mbox only has two inputs u will be limited to only recording two sounds using it. Thats why i dont like the Mbox but dat dont mean get rid of it. I use a Track recorder for tracking beats.

I dont think he wants to take that route nor do i think u can have all 3 working at the same time though i may be wrong.

forget the analog. Dump it track by track digitally using S/PDIF. There is a difference I have the 002r have the cabality of dump all eight tracks at once and still use s/pdif cause it just sounds better
