M-Audio 2496 or Emu-1212m

I dont know which one to get, the m audio is 100 cheaper but is the emu is worth it? All I want to do is record, have a midi/in/out, and help save CPU when using vst's in fruity loops.

Either one will work but for what u are suggesting i say go wit the M-Audio 2496 b/c i owned one and it a great sound card and gets the job done.
