crackling in voice recording

sup yall im using a pretty basic condenser mic with a pre sonus tubpre mic pre amp connected directly into my sound card,now,when i speak through the mic the sound comes out crisp and clear through the speakers.however when i record in soundforge i hear a low crackling after everyhting said,any advice?

Is your version of SoundForge a cracked copy? Because I think I read that once where someone had a problem with that program, doing the exact same thing you just mentioned and it turned out it was because it was an illegal version.
