I get my MPC 1000 hooked up to my Motif ES6 and it all works, but i want to be able to play a bassline with the motif as a midi controller. all i get are the mpc samples on certain keys of the motif, but i want to be able to play each note. get what im saying? like the 16 levels shit on the mpc, but instead on the motif.

unlike the Mpc2000, the 1000 doesn't have autochromatic which spreads the sample to each note of the keys to be played.

my only remedy is to play the bass from the motif which you'd have to set the PGM to OFF and assign the sound to a certain channel like 1A, 2A etc....

The 2000 does it automatically? Damn. I might have to cop it just for that.

The mpc 2000 DOES NOThave auto chromatic. The 2000XL does.

You can use Blue Box to make autochromatic programs. www.mpc1000.com to get the Blank PGM file.
