ASCAP or BMI

me and my friends have been discussing this lately -- and it just so happens that it appeared in the forum recently -- but i just want to hear some comments -- which would you prefer? -- ASCAP or BMI -- why? -- pros and cons of each -- etc -- please post your thoughts

i just got with BMI about 3 months ago, i chose them because they pay faster you can edit you music for royalty colledion online, ascap makes it seems like you have to be in a contract with a lable for them to rep you, BMI holds more showcases for up and coming artist and a lot of the artist that i wouldnt mind working with are with BMI

yeah -- i've heard differing opinions on both -- but the majority seem to be leaning towards BMI -- but then again -- people keep saying it's better off going to ass-cap -- why?

BiGD=ASCAP, they pay quarterly too, you can register your works online..and you just have to have something in retail circulation, and trust me they report all around the world like I get wild shidd from France that I didn't even know about and they give you a nice itemized statem along with UR checks....
