Basslines

Any advices how2make dope basslines? I make nice melodies&have good samples but they need some bass n i cant drop it

One thing I always keep in mind is that you don't need to make any complex basslines. Even if you have a bass note on every 4 bars, sometimes that's enough. Personally I have my own ways of doing basslines, it's hard to explain it. But I would suggest starting off by putting a bass note at the beginning of every bar, then just build from there. Add another note right before the 3rd, stuff like that. Just get the basic foundation first, then build.

Unless you're going to start learning to play bass, the real only other way to go about this is listening to the basslines you like and experiement at copying them. Once you've got to the level where you can copy other basslines to perfection you'll have a much easier time at plotting your own bass ideas down...at least in my opinion.

or maybe try getting a friend who plays bass to come in. I actually went to the local hi school here and asked the music teacher if he had and students willing to come in for a session. and the kid is dope.

I had problems with basslines myself. I just kept trying though. I approached it kind of the way Fade describe it. One note here and there and then I just build. Best to keep it simple at first.

try listening to your melodies... find the keyz there in... then start playing with the variation of the pattern.. if u got a bassnote trying loopong it in the trim page.. the go to the pads find the bass note.. select note off find the pitch..
go to 16 levels or put them in 4-to 8 pads your set.. or if u got a keyboard use that.. reason also has some nice bass llines..

Thanx for ya advices...I´ll try, I´ll try. Usually if i start from bass&drums it´ll be nice but when i have good melody shit i cant make the basslines. &if i dont drop basslines my tracks sound too "empty"if u know what i mean..I aint sure about dat empty sound but i think dat it´s about bass. Whu?....thanks
