Hi!

After having used Vsampler for quite a while it has pissed me of for being instable and crashing very often.
I´m looking for a new sampler. I don´t need many featutes.
what about kontakt, kompat or halion?
help appreciated ...

okay
kontakt and kompakt look pretty good.
is there tool that can convert vsampler banks to akai? looks like i´m on a deadend street now, because neither cdxtract nor chicken system support vsampler

MOTU has come out with a KILLER sampler program called MachFive. It will be up in the "NEW PRODUCTS" section pretty soon. Check into it before you purchase anything, it's off the hook!

Nothing beats Kontakt. Nothing. That thing is a monster. It can get as deep as you want it to. But the simple stuff is easy to use. I dont see it eating a lot of CPU unless you use its onboard effects and editors. It has built in Reverb, Delay, Distortion, EQ's, Filters, Envelopes, Flexible envelopes, Assignable LFO's, blah blah blah etc. So if you add a lot of effects and shit the CPU will go up. Kompakt looks nice but its not out yet I dont think.
