how do i get cubase to stop recording when the my mpc2000xl.

how do i get cubase sx to stop recording when the my mpc2000xl... stops playing... iam multracking the slow way... by soloing one track at a time in song mode..... till i get a sound card with 8 ins...

anyways...

i got cubase and my mpc to sync nicely... the only problem i have is... that my cubase continues to record silence.... after the mpc has finished playing....

i want to be able to walk away from the pc and o other things... why cubase records.... i don't want to have to come back to 1000 bars of silence... to cut... thats silly and a waste of time...

Hey,

I'm not sure if this will work, but you could try setting up a left and right marker to encompass the amount of time you think that the MPC will play audio, and when you hit record, it will stop recording once the cursor reaches the right marker.

Otherwise, you'll just have to sit there and hit stop when the MPC stops.
