Question for Reason heads

Ok, lets say you pitch up a sample/speed it up, its gunna be a different octave than the original sample. now if I have a bass sample loaded up in NNXT or any of the Reason Synths, how do I pitch these instruments differently until they match the tone of the sample?

if the samples were originally in tune with eachother, than it should work to just pitch them up the same amount, right?

but i bet you knew that. if they never matched, then the only way i know is to mess around untill it sounds right.
