wav to mp3

yo.. i need a good freeware wav to mp3 converter and i guess itd help if it did the reverse too.

any ideas of where to download?

k i downloaded musicmatch but i cant seem to get it to convert the wav files from my computer to mp3. i can get them from an audio cd to mp3 but not directly from files on my computer to mp3.

You have to click on File>Convert and then you'll see the directory of your files on the left, and underneath make sure you choose WAV, then on the right side choose where you want the MP3's saved, and underneath that make sure you choose MP3.

Ok, i found another program to do this, but i guess it was only a trial version. so i downloaded this musicmatch again and i gave it another try.

it seems that on the left of the screen there are

CD>files
Files>CD
Files>portable

but no file>convert

maybe i have a different version?

You don't see it? At the main screen, at the very top, you see File - Edit - View - Options, etc.

try download.com or jumbo.com they have soem good shareware programs that you can get.

2nd that shareware software is coo if u dont kno nothin.
Always use some type of audioeditor like Sound Forge 6,Cool Edit Pro 2.1,Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 or 10.
Cus use quality converters n have setting 4 quality n things.
