I am not totally against Fruity loops because I know it can do a lot, but my only problem is that once you load samples and listen to the final mix, even when using the pluginz.....the bass and kix and shidd alway sound weak....what is the deal with this.....I mean I can make a pattern on the mpc with the same samples and they are fat and thick going into the same mixer and into protools.....but when I use the same samples in Fruity and mix it the pattern is dope but the sound quality is nowhere near as good and the drums sound different and that's a big problem...but when you solo the sample on a track by itself on the channel it sounds a little better, I tried tweaking the sound, decay, amplify and other shidd but it seams to be an overall mixing problem within fruity loops ......any answers to this problem?????

It's all about adjusting the sound levels. I've been using ONLY Fruity Loops to make beats for about 3 years now, and eventually you'll figure out how to work those type of problems out. (I adjust the velocity and that usually does it for me.) *Honestly, aside from an MPC, I like Fruity Loops more than anything else I've tried. That's probably just because I'm so familiar and used to it though.

i just noticed the same thing recently, it was my cousin who actually pointed it out. saying the drums sound weak compared to other stuff.
what i do that helps alot is i add a little bit of reverb (drum room) not that much but that alone doesnt help much. what makes a big difference is EQ. i use the parametric EQ to amplify and beef up the drum sounds and i think the finished product sounds alot better that way. i also layer kicks and snares which i been doin for a while but the eq seemed to help it all out.
Did you open up the track properties and adjust the volume level and the amplify knob? I would think that's the problem, unless your PC's mixer settings are low in volume.

Thanks for the info, I'll be putting some Fruity loops tracks up but I am still a hardcore mpc producer!
