i know you can somehow use the note repeat key to add hi hats throughout your piece as opposed to doing it all manually....does anyone know exactly how to do this?? sorry i just got this thing and still learning...

While the sequencer is recording, hold the note repeat buttondown and then trigger the sounds with the pads.

actually, if you want that traditional hat loop, which is what i think you want...
you gotta set the timing to 1/8
then record, hold note repeat and hold the pad where the hat is assigned......... it will give u that traditional hat loop

I wouldn't call it an mpc killa becuse it doesn't look as good as the mpc4000 and the 4000 has a bigger hard dirve on it

I agree it's going to be hard to make an MPC killa. the MPC's are just too dope. the only MPC killa out there is a newer MPCthat AKAI makes!
