Condenser mics Phantom Power???

If i buy a condenser mic and it has a phantom power requirement wut exactly does that mean? i treied readin up about it but i just dont get it!

that means, that i needs to be fed with 48v.
if you got a mixer with phantom power switch,
turn it on and the mic will be connected to power
via the sound cable......

yeah it sends to 48V down the cable from the board to power to mic. DO NOT USE ON DYNAMIC MICS!!!!! you will fuck up a Dymanic mic if you use phantom power to it.
