How long do you take to make a beat???

When i make a beat on some software it usually takes me about 4 hours minimum, but i ALWAYS get a good quality beat. but when i use same kind of hard ware it takes me like maybe an hour the beat is usually still god but not as good as the one made with software. how about you...wuts your timing like???
