ive been gettin some emails on the RS, so i posted a session for all to see... its filmed with a camera phone, so its not as clear, or sound as good as it should:

Thanks man, sample manipulation is probably the biggest draw to doing hip-hop for me, I'd like to see more videos dealing with creating new melodies out of obscure samples on the net. Keep up the good work, hope you can get your hands on a better camera sometime in the near future. Also, I'm not using the same hardware, but a lot of the work in messing with samples is pretty universal I think, so I'm sure the efforts appreciated all around.

Nah, youre not hiphop unless you use either:

MPC 2000XL
sp1200

other MPC variations are also exceptable, but rank lower on the level of hiphopness w/ each model

It doesn't matter what sampler you use, so long as you get all your samples from real, credible hip-hop sources, of which there are TWO. Laserdisc and VHS.










.......No I am serious, burn your vinyl and go buy some laserdiscs bitches!
