yo i heard that P5 is actually pretty dope - but im not too hip on what the program provides or as to what its really capable of...
im assuming its like most other products on tha market right now - where its either a wave editor of some sort or it is its own virtual studio.?
im not to lazy to go and find out what it does on a search though, cuz thats what i end up always doing...i just want to know if anyone with hands on exp. has dug this program??
get back at me aiiight!
Project 5 is Cakewalk's inroad into the market created by Reason. It offers an "all in one" music making solution, much like Reason claims to do. It is an aggregate of synthesisers, samplers, sequencers, and MIDI/audio FX. Twelve Tone Systems, the company that makes it, is quite reputable, and the times I've played around with the software showed me it was intuitive and had an easy interface to work with.
Here's a link to some info on the software:

I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT! I LOVE IT!
The sound quality of the .wavs have much more punch and clarity than any of the other soft studios I have worked with.
You can chain DX plugins to your VSTi's.
You can use soundfonts
You can use rewire to port it into Cubase or Live
If you dont use allot of VSTi's and DX plugins you might not want to go with it though.
