i just got my mpc4000 yesterday and its my 1st peice of hardware ever...besides my crappy yamaha keyboard....but i figured out alot of the stuff already on my own just with my knowledge of software programs but i dont know how to filter out a sample on it.
im trying to filter out a sample to just get the bass and use it as a bassline. i go to the same options and the fx list it doesnt look like there are any fx there that would do the job. if anyone else is familiar with the mpc4000 and can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks
Wattz

Hey,

Not familiar with the MPC4k, but I'm absolutely sure that there is something called a Low Pass Filter (LPF) in the signal chain which will allow you to remove the higher frequencies by lowering the Cutoff value.

Take care,

Nick
