the qt video is by songphonic, and it's a way to 'freeze' your track(more accurately printing) with the fx without bussing and routing to a new whole track. using alt track you can make your fx inactive on said track to save cpu and because it's an alt track, and your making the fx inactive (not bypassed) you can always go back and adjust accordingly. note: this is for your non time based fx as i suspect you're using them on an aux track. also, audio input monitoring must be on
