I just copped a Korg Triton so that should keep me busy for a while.

The next thing I'd like to get would probably be some decent turntables or maybe some good headphones.

I don't know about you guys, but I just want equipment in general. Just expand into a small/medium studio. Will take time though, and a lot of money. Currently, my producer partner and I want racks...but we keep changing our oppinions...

Yamaha Motif 61 key

Roland MC-909 Groovesampler (fellas check out this machine it's hot)

Alesis M1 Studio Monitors or a pair of Behringer Truths

Lookin at tha FireWire 410 from M-Audio(Somewhere around $300-$500)

Has 4 in's - 10 outs, hence tha name.
Two mic in's with phantom.
Two headphone in's to collab.
Minor mixing capabilities.
FireWire - best of all!.......Super low latency.

I jus gotta save some cash an cop tha bitch!

M Audio 8" Nearfield Moniters

I threw a beat together and burned it to CD and my boy played it in a studio with some EVENT moniters and I was embarrased. I can't fninish another beat without proper moniters for the mix down.

Indeed it's hard to find other AKAI samplers other than the MPC 2000 XL outside the US and Canada ...

I probably will end up getting a MPC2000XL, I dont want to have too turn on a computer whenever i want samples. The 1000 also has less features then the 2000, and they cost about the same. Also, One of the reasons i want an MPC is to stay away from computers when making beats.

Yo I feel ya Helix. You can't go wrong wit tha MPC's. Just tha feel of tha pads alone beats any drum machine out there. Get that 2000xl man I'll love yaself for it.
