What mic-preamp is being used amongst hip-hop producers?

I am a hip-hop producer and I am trying to find out what mic preamp to buy. What is the standard equipment being used? I have a choice between the Focusrite track master and the joemeek VCIQ. I have protools but I want to warm up my vocals. Although I have bombfactory plug-ins, I want a front end mic pre to tweek before going into protools. Please help!:confused:

i use an art tube pre amp. its a nice pre amp and for 70 bux, its well worth it. i also use it to run my guitar into before it goes into the pedals
