Hey guys . Is there a way to disable midi in logic platinum 5. I use reason 2.5 and I rewire it into logic for mixing. After you open logic then open reason, reason gives you a warning that the midi ports is being used by another program (logic).
And you can't control reason from the midi controler cause logic is using the ports. Is there a way to disable midi in logic so that I can rewire reason into logic but still be able to add to and work on the beat in reason(through midi) /

Thanks in advance guys.

DJFANTOM, i am afaraid that i won't be able to help you since i've never used logic, nor do i plan to.
still, try to browse the Logic Audio Guidebook. you might find your answer there: http://www.kw.nl/~pike/documents/logic_audio_pro/Guidebook.pdf

Are you using a Mac or a PC. I have a mac with Logic 5.5 and Reason 2.5 and I can edit midi in both programs while they are both open at the same time. If you gota Mac I can help but if you have a PC go here:

Thanks for the links. I joined the logic yahoo group and posted my question there . No answer yet tho. And I can't go online on my comp @ the moment (im posting this from my sidekick) so I can't get to that link wings .(sk won't got to it.)

I am using a pc ominous and am using logic platinum 5.0 I guess maybe its only possible in 5.5 and up. I will be "buying" 6.0 soon tho so hopefully ittl work. Beats just sound soooooooooo much better in logic. But I wanna continue working on it in reason while its playing in logic .

www.swiftkick.com has some usefull environments including a rewire with reason environment, including assignable controllers for reason instruments.

You have to dig though.
