USB Hub problems

Hi together,

unfortunately my laptop has only 2 usb ports so i bought a usb hub. But my soundcard and my wireless lan receiver refuse to work if they have no own designated usb ports. Would a power usb hub change the situation and solve the problem? I´m running windows xp professional, both usb ports are 2.0

you could give a try. i have the mbox and digidesign stated that it wont work with a usb hub but i been haveing better results with the mbox/w usb hub than i did with out it. yea its self power

this is my usb hub... its made by micro-connectors..
it has an power chord option that u can buy seperately...but it only comes with the usb chord...
