can i use a keyboard with fruity loops and if so how would i go about doing that

You would have to use a Midi compatible keyboard. First thing would be to get a midi interface for your computer..(ie. midiman, soundblaster audigy platinum). Of course you'll need a set of midi cables. Then a keyboard with midi in/out. Once you get all that hooked up you'll need to adjust your midi and sync settings in fruity loops and on the keyboard. The user manuals for your keyboard and fruity loops will tell you how. Good luck.

or even you could do something a lot more simple, you could just buy a usb keyboard, that works just as well. I used to use it with fruityloops and it worked fine.

Don't forget, if your using your keyboard as a synth meaning sounds from your keyboard, be prepared to get some audio cables to connect the sound of your keyboard to your cpu because midi does not transmit sound only data. When you get there and are clueless, ask the question again and someone will help you.
