T?, I hear the akai site has new displays for like140$ or so, but i also hear you can just replace the back lighting for like 40$. I would rather save the 100$ for sounds, and just replace the backlighting. How hard is this and how would i do it? Or where can i just get the back light? I assume its similar to the MPC's?:o

Hey,
Try these:
http://www.backlights.co.uk/
http://www.midi-rakete.de/
The latter site appears to be down at the moment, I found the link here:

Good luck,

My light is dull when I first turn it on. After it's warmed up...it gets brighter. I know there is a way you can adjust the light.

vitaminman was faster than me. midi-rakete is where he bought his display. they also provide a manual how to do it. if you ask me i might translate it if i´m bored at work
