i don't really have any "nice" speakers or monitors. i like to dj and produce so i'd like something i can use in both worlds. all i know is these speakers sound so crisp and beautiful i can't imagine them being innapropriate in a studio referencing situation.
maybe i'm totally wrong and have no idea what i'm talking about but.... i want these. they're not shielded so they would have to be like 3 feet away from my computer monitor which could suck i guess but... let me know what ya'll think.http://www.zzounds.com/graphics/zzounds/product/l/MACSRM450.jpg

I don't know anything about those speakers...but I've heard rumours that the new Blue Sky Systems are the latest craze...

if im not mistaken those are PA speakers. studio monitors are a lil mor flat then those. If you are recording and mixing i would tell you to look into some truths or mackies something along the line of true monitors.

just my 2cents

Yeah I've seen speakers like that used a lot in live shows, especially DJ competitions (from experience). I don't know anything about those, but I would use them just for DJ'ing. If you're serious about producing, get the proper type of monitors. You can still use studio monitors for DJ'ing too, just get some good ones.
