Blood In Blood Out Guitar Intro ---> Tolis Voskopoulos - Ke Si Tha Figis

tolis voskopoulos is a very old greek actor signer he is probably close to 80 right now... i was suprised first when i heard that intro because i knew where it was from :)

It smells like groupie in this thread. It isn't hard to dig for something good, find it, and loop it for 4 bars, if not longer. Listen to the original songs he sampled, then listen to his stuff.... it's not all that genius, kids. Anytime I loop I feel like shit for it, like it's lazy. Then again, maybe that's just me.

06-20-2005, 04:27 AM
yeah, I got a few...

All i'm saying is, if you take some half decent records that 99% of american listeners will never have heard about, and flip 'em, then people will be like "Thats GENIUS!" because they haven't heard of it before. I'll admit that the stuff he uses IS good, but people are hyping him like he's doing remarkable shit with it. It's pretty generic, and sadly overhyped. AND WHO NAMES THE FUCKING SONGS???? jeezus that shit's sad...

I will agree with the songs and the names as of now i do not know much about flipping samples chopping etc... can't wait until my Mpc arrives and Paz is to repetative he rhymes about the same things over and over not that he is not good he is a dope emcee but same thing to many times at least thats how i feel and as far as Stoupe goes i am not a groupie i am just a fan i think he is dope myself my opinion i was not trying to spark up a beef with you just dropping my thoughts.

There's no beef, I'm just hating. Vinnie Paz annoys me with his "I'm the one who nailed the cross to Jesus" and "resurrect the dead body of Jesus" rhymes. What is that? What are you supposed to be.. impressive? Then you have songs called "Heavenly Divine"?? This kid is worse than KRS One AND Killah Priest AND Nas when it comes to contradictions, and he does the repetetive Mike Jones thing with the rhyme style of ___________ (Insert overlooked underground rapper here).

Point blank.... it might be good music, I dunno. I can't get past the unoriginality and annoyance at the repetetive attempts at being "deep" lyrically. So, if you like JMT, it's all good, to each his own. I think Paul Barman's a riot.... just an opinion.

OH.... getting an MPC.... about to start sampling.... GOOD. Hit up stuff that everyone else will leave behind. Grab that "Worshipping God" album or that "Tchaikovski's 5th Blowjob in C Minor" and "Sesame Street does Fragglerock hardcore" and christmas album that everyone else ignores. Kill the samples on those, that way when you come to some real good ass stuff, you do it properly. Don't live off the strength of the sample... resurrect that dead ass piece of plastic and give it meaning. Otherwise, it's just stealing good music.... which we're prettymuch all guilty of now and then.

Okay, Rigor, why not. All this shit talking I'm doing, and nothing to back it up.... so I figured I'd give it a shot. It was 4 am, I haven't gotten a lick of sleep in 2 days, and I didn't include an epic, dramatic, war-torn monologue intro. So, minus the intro and lack of serious effort, I'd say it came out decent.

soooooooo without further adieu http://www.soundclick.com/util/streamM3U.m3u?ID=2573452&q=Hi

Oh, by the way, I could care less what he says about christian/jewish/islamic/muslim/buddhist/etc people. My point is he can't go 2 songs without saying the same things. If you're gonna do that style, then damn, at least switch it up some. (or just get Canibus to write for you.) He's constantly doing the whole "Hey, lookatmeee, i'm the dude that killed jesus" thing. Okay. Done already. You're not the first one to say that line, anyway, Pazzie. Next you'll be talking about the "White Devil" and stuff.

cant listen to anything at the moment dantson, cos my pc is screwed up and i aint got time to fix it,,, if i get around chilling at somebody elses place i will check it out.. anyways i doubt you outdid stoupe, and even if you managed to get one beat up to par, the way stoupe puts together an album is unique. And why hide behind a lack of serious effort if you are so eager to prove you can outdo stoupe?

Dantson
06-25-2005, 07:04 PM
I'm not trying to outdo stoupe. He's put in years of work. I haven't. That alone shows that he's at least serious about his thing. I'm just saying that people make him sound like some sort of underground hip hop saviour. I just find his beats to be generic underground battle beats.

But, yeah, I'll make a serious effort in the next few days.

If you say that Paz is a Muslim then he is not supposed to be denoucing Jesus in no type of way at all. When he talks about being the one that nailed Jesus to the cross hes defying what Islam teaches about Jesus that he was never humiliated, beaten, and nailed to a cross period. And Yes Christians do denounce and distort the Islamic way of life through the media. But thats no reason to disrect the moral message that Jesus brought as a great Prophet of God. So him doing this and thinking hes accomplishing something is bogus. Hes actually denouncing his own faith by doing this. Insha Allah someone around him who is muslim will tell him this. Salaam

What?

I can't read that post. Too many capital letters and typos...

I DO see that you said something about real hip-hop. What exactly is real hip-hop? Non-phixon? The Def Jux crew? Nelly? Wu-Tang? Common, Mighty Mos Def, and crew? Lil' Boosie?

All of the above, kid. No matter how much you love or hate an artist, they're contributing something. It may be good, it may be bad. All I know is what I'm saying is my opinion. Me, PERSONALLY, I think Rakim, Common, Wu-Tang Clan, Outkast, Madlib, MF Doom, etc.... that's about as real as it gets.... TO ME. Real, because they came with style X, worked with that, peeped it through a different perspective, saw the errors in style X, BUILT ON the errors in that style X, came with style Y, etc..... It's a cycle. It's called growth. Evolution. Without it, it's just putting out records for ONE PARTICULAR genre. Outside of that group, that music has no reason to exist. Coincidentally, that same concept can be applied to life, society, literature, etc.

What gets me is when people dwell in contradiction (which we're all guilty of), and they stick to THE SAME contradictions. Not even trying to evolve. What was the subject matter of every JMT album? Talking about how much he's the shit, using metaphysics, religious mishmash, and witty wordplay... that, and a little bit of biased political views mixed with some fish-eyed history lessons. GZA sounded bored for A REASON on that "On The Eve Of War" track. I'll leave it at that. (I will say the wordplay did grow a little... and the production as well... but that rate of growth definately could be sped up some)

Point is, less shit talking, biased religious views, and played-out metaphysical transmutated blahblah and more evolution, awareness of self-contradiction and growth from it, and omniscient points of view would be nice. Nice, and it would give them a reason to make another album.... because the subject of their next one has been done like 57 times already, AND BETTER, by their influences.

Maybe if they released a "C - True Hollywood Stories" caliber album, they'd have a reason to grow and release a "Rip the Jacker" caliber album (ironically produced by none other than Stoupe).

I guess you gotta become reallllly wack before you can step in and say "Woah... what the hell am I doing?" and correct the situation.

Thus the point of the cycle. And my distaste for them.

Dont recall Paz saying anything bad about Jesus, since Jesus also is a big part of the Islam and the Koran.

"I'm the one who put the nail in the cross"
"I'm the one who hammered the first nail in Jesus" (both lines in the same song)

"Fuck ya crucifix, your religion and its uselessness"

"I'm a swordsmen, the apocolypse horsemen / What makes me smile is another's misfortune" (this is just a lame attempt at being hard. Really, now.)

" .......holy like the corpse of Christ" (why even say this? According to you, he's not anything but an overhyped carpenter heathen)

".....I breathe life into Jesus Christ’s carcass!" ( Okay buddy... you convinced me. You're pretty awe-inspiring. Yep. Now stop it, we already have a Canibus. He's better than you anyway)

Dantson before you start acting like you know Islam cut it out. For you to say that Jesus is just an overhyped carpenter to Muslims shows just how much you know about what your saying.....Nothing at all....Muslims respect Jesus to the upmost. More than Christians who think that he was just someone who came and got ridiculed, beaten, and crucified for THEIR sins. Or place him in the position of God himself. Not trying to turn this into no religious forum. I just hated when people speak on things they have no idea about. But point blank Paz is wrong and Islam doesnt condone his words...he sounds like a damn fanatic terrorist talking ignorant like that.
