The Nord Beat is a 4-track step sequencer for the iPad and is a great app to use alongside the Nord Drum product.
With a 16-step grid and up to 8 patterns, you can create drum beats and have great control over the velocity. The patterns can be played back either in the Sequence Mode, or play a single pattern as a loop until you cue up another. Each pattern can be edited while it's playing, plus the Copy/Paste function allows you to create variations over the pattern very quickly.
There are 3 velocity levels, each one with its own color, and you can change the velocity accents and dynamics in real-time with the velocity faders. Pad Mode is where you can play the Nord Drum (or any other MIDI gear) with your fingers, plus you can also control its velocity. The full velocity is at the center zone and then it gradually gets lower as you move towards the edges.
