Personally I think to be a voice of a generation comes from inspiring a generation, and Dylan certainly did that. Maggies Farm blew me away when I first heard it.

Well its subjective, but I just was never a big Dylan fan and yes I was raised on all that music , I just didnt find him to be all that.
Cobain, I liked his one big album tried to like the others and just couldnt find the groove, he certainly didnt speak for the majority of the people I was around during his heyday.

I really think the reason why unsigned artist and producers hate on kanye is because he is better than them at what they do and he has nooooooo problem letting them know. Buddy is super nice, his new album is a classic on par with Aquemini, in fact I have not been this impressed with a rap cd since I bought Aquemini...

Sorry there are many producers out there that are better than me, and I know it, but I dont hate them, the reason I hate kanye is because hes a first class cock.
Hes his own biggest fan, his ego is unjustified I have always found him a very weak rapper, producer is another thing but his raps in my opinion are weak, and not even written by him. If Kanye could fit his head into a doorway and didnt cry like a spoilt bitch every time he doesnt get an award then maybe Id have more time for him, until then, fuck him.
