Just heard about a massive Facebook family fight

I'm SO glad I'm not on Facebook anymore.

Just heard that some members of my family had a huge fight on there all over a stupid picture of a kid punching another kid. It's just some random picture one of them posted.

Anyhow, all kinds of family dirt was flying around and it got nasty. Apparently explosions are still being heard, along with rapid gunfire.

So it got me thinking - you guys should post some crazy online shit that you've been a part of or witnessed.

Anyone?

oh my gosh my Facebook is INSANE. I have a mix of hard core religious conservatives and hard core liberal religion haters. When the two worlds collide OMG

Once Relic went toe to toe with my mom. I was laughing my ass off! This is why I have unfriended a ton of people and starting moving away from FB. I am having trouble getting totally away from it as there are people I work with on it.

I grew up in a very fundamentalist religious home, played in a christian rock band in high school and everything. Then as I grew up I thought through how much bull shit religion is. Then i worked in the entertainment industry and most people in that world or more liberal leaning, so I have my friends from growing up on facebook that just pray for me and think I have lost my way, and then my newer friends who i guess are the bad influence. But man, when both sides get in to it. WOW...I also have a bunch of network admin, programmer friends, so we can have some debates about technology sometimes to. Its crazy!

The whole FB thing is just insane now. To just think that a simple picture or a comment about religion or politics can turn into a massive debate. Hell, even a comment about a dirty sock could end up with racial slurs.

Good point. There's just so much to consider when posting. You have to decide if you want everyone to see your personal stuff, or if you want to get into a debate about religion or politics.

It's a shame though, because FB was a great platform. I think the way they've evolved, plus the way people use it, it's a disaster.
