I'm new to sampling, so im having a really hard time getting a sample on beat with the drums. Do you guys have any tips how i can match the sample with the drums.

I know this is an older thread but...
DAW don't matter... The things you do are the same across platforms.
Make sure your sample is cut TIGHT (often referred to as 'Truncating'). If it's a 2-bar (or 4-bar or whatever) sample make sure it loops clean without your own drums.
Find the tempo of the sample. Use the timestretch function of whatever DAW you are using to change the sample's original tempo to the desired (the track's) one.
Once your loop is cut tight and stretched to the desired tempo it makes chopping & flipping the sample soo much easier!
