That's interesting I would have voted for beat #9 over #10. I can say the sounds used in #10 are more epic, but #9 made me nod my head. They both seem average though, clean but average. #10 better mix bigger sounds. #9 got more heart n soul. just my opinion.

I know it's just preference, but I can dig a good trap beat just as much as a good boom bap beat. I have my preferences on what I'd rather hear, but a good trap beat is usually pretty well constructed, as well as a boom bap beat.

The trap beat that beat me in 1st round was nice - I knew when I heard it.
But almost the same typ of snare in every 2nd beat - I miss diversity

I agree that if the same drums are used, it's weird.
It's always trap vs boom bap. There are "boom bap" that uses the same sound or same type of sample, too. Now if you can incorporate both.....
