That's some dope-ass tips. What's good about synths is the wide range of options that allow us to think outside the box.
One thing I usually do is create for example, a four part chord then duplicate it but change the instrument, then alter it. Pretty much like the last one he has on the list. It's just amazing the amount of stuff we can do with plug-ins.
