The next competition will be from December 21-22nd! See the information below.

Signups

The signups will be on December 21st at around 8am ET, and end around 8pm ET. Voting will be for 1 day, on December 22nd, where the results will be posted the same day.

The Signup page is here (it will open up on the signup day)

Theme: Christmas
  • You must make a Christmas-sounding beat!
  • Think of Santa and sleigh bells.
You can use whatever sounds you want, samples, synths, just remember to read the rules for the rest of the restrictions. What the judges will be looking for is originality, creativity, mixing skills and overall dopeness!

Voting

From now on, the voting will be by all members! If you are competing, you will be able to vote but not for yourself. DO NOT TRY TO CHEAT! I will be watching for cheaters. This means you cannot sign up under different names or get your friends and family to sign up either. If you are caught cheating you could be banned (depending on the mood I'm in).

Beats

All the beats will now be displayed in a random order and without any names. All you will see is: Beat #001, Beat #002, etc. This is so that there is no favouritism when voting.

Sponsor

This month, the competition will be sponsored by Greg Savage & DIY Music Biz, where the winner will get 1 on 1 consultation from industry insider Greg Savage on music licensing.

Rules

If you're not sure about the rules, read this thread.

If you have any comments, suggestions, or questions about the competition, please post them in here.

what i realized now is that there is no reward , some music consultation... ill skip on that , but that medal would be nice , but i have a problem with no vocals rule , i use vocal covers to protect my world class beats , and over the years i noticed that stuff gets riped off of you , and main persons involved in it are major beat makers , those on you tube , i found some of them . Im not saying that happens here , but they can come and rip off , so you have a blast . ill post my jingle bells beat , in showcase with vocals

What kind of reward do you want? The winner gets the consultation, an interview which gets promoted on social media and in the newsletter, plus you get the title and points.

As for the no vocals, it means you can't have vocals on the track, like if you're doing a remix of a song, for example. You can put your voice tags on top if you wish, although it could make it a bit harder for those that vote.
