just copped this, finally can put my Fast track pro and audiobox usb to rest.
newayz i have a question probably a dumb one but ....
Why would line level inputs have built in preamps...You don't need to run 2 preamps on the same signal, and if the signal is line level its probably already been through a preamp right?

well there's 8 inputs on this thing 2 mic/instrument and 6 line, and it says in the specs it has 8 preamps..wtf?

But you can plug a mic in to any of the inputs that's why they are mic/ OR line inputs

The basic rule is if you see an xlr jack you can plug a mic in to it. If you can plug a mic in to it you need a pre amp.
