Yep, 2001. Still Dre is one of the most ridiculous tracks ever.

All eyez on me sounded dope as helll... of course chronic 2001 ... but the best mixes are in neo soul type shit .. for example listen to jill scotts first album omg that shit sounds crazy! the bass is soo deep and warm and the intruments are so present and full its crazy .. anthony hamiltons records have impeccable mixes...but for hip hop pretty much anything aftermath is golden as far as mixes go.. the g unit record had some unbelieavable mixes...outkast have great mixes too... blueprint 1 and 2 sounded great but kingdom come doesnt sound as good at least to me imo..the black album was one of the worst sounding records ive ever heard in my life from a mastering standpoint. hip hop is dead doesnt sound that good to me either... of course i am just talkin bout the mixes not the music

yeah i remember a while ago i was reading about some controversy that happened with def jam over the black album, apparently the engineer who did it completely messed it up and used so much limiting and compression that all the instruments and songs sounded squashed. i still can't figure why they put it out in that condition, cause it really does sound horrible, maybe it just had to do w/ a promo schedule.
