As an android owner, I can tell you that the iphone consistently works better. Has better business apps, and overall is more productive than an android. I will be dumping my android as soon as my contract is up.

Which do you have? It cant be worse than my BB consistently freezing after cache cleaning, removing notes, music etc lol

I have a droid x, it sucks. But I totally would use it over a Black Berry. Wow, Black Berries blow!

Man, Im tryin to stay loyal to BB. I dont like jumping ships, but they're falling wayyy behind. And the head of the operation said a few months ago he just wants to focus on reliability. Which I like, but some of the apps are losing support because of the companies short sightedness. My hand is being forced lol

if it's not about the money, go with the galaxy sII. it's on android 2.3 and it has a dual core processor. but the infuse should be a safe buy too. i think it's comparable to my galaxy S (the older model) spec-wise, which I had for a year now and no complaints yet.
I'm a samsung fan since a decade. always high quality, sturdy products, easy to use and nice to look at.

Thanks everybody!

@Sucio - would you suggest the Galaxy 2 over the Infuse based on it being dual-core and the Infuse isn't? I mean do you think that would be an issue as far as using business and accounting based apps?

Yes I would recommend the dual core Galaxy 2 over the standard Infuse.....Remember if you're going to have this phone for that long of a time....might as well go dual core....single core devices are already out.....my Evo is a 1ghz and it came out over a year ago.

Dual core would only mean better battery life... The display on the Galaxy S II is awesome.

As far as business and accounting based apps....you want the best apps available for that....and I would recommend the iPhone for that. Android lacks quality applications....which is why a lot of them are free.....I think even Blackberry App World has better business applications than Android....

From experience....many corps are either sticking to BB or moving to iPhone for their business....Very rarely you see Android phones used for business, unless it's the users personal phone.

There's been tons of issues with devices upgrading to new software......especially in terms of the applications....I can't tell you how many times my apps were force closing after the Gingerbread update, you have to wait for the actual developers to update the applications to work with the new OS.

And DP...as far as BBs go..... The new bold really kicks ass.....and with the playbook bridge integration is bananas....I think BB is getting a bad rap because it's "behind" on the smartphone world.....however it's not for people looking for a shitload of apps.....it's for people who want good access to email and possibly enterprise servers and that's it.... I don't use a shitload of apps...All I have for my android are useless game applications....I don't stream video....I don't even watch movies on it.... I just want to check my email and do some basic internet searching...BB can do that for me without having to update your software every couple of months and encountering software issues (which is par for the course with Android).

If not for the iPhone coming to Sprint, I would've gotten the Bold, and gotten the playbook with it.....the playbook is a wi-fi only device but when paired with a new blackberry.....you can use the BB's data connection to access the web with the playbook....AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.... Turning your phone into a mobile hotspot costs at least $30 and it's now at a usage limit pretty much across the board........

The main reason why I prefer iOS and BB OS 7 over Android is simple.....

Theses OS are made specifically for their OWN devices...... As for Android, there are many companies making phones with this OS. HTC and Motorola work well with the ever constant Android updates, however LG and Samsung have had their share of issues with these updates. Both companies have been known to offer a downgrade back to a previous version due to the amount of issues the new update had.....Sounds like Windows to me...lmao

However, Samsung makes a good quality phone...Their Galaxy S series is unmatched in overall power, but the con is they are virtually the last to receive any software updates. If you were able to put a Galaxy S II inside an iPhone with iOS software....that phone would literally be relevant even when it's time to upgrade again.

Galaxy S II it is then! As far as the iphone...I got 2 hangups that don't really mean much in the real world but its irritating to me. (1.) I'm not impressed with their appearance and it's basically the same since it came out. (2.) I hate itunes (Win) with a passion! You probably know why so I wont go into details...

My next (home) computer may be a Mac but it wont be in the next 2 years for sure so I'm gonna stick with Win based toys until I change the true centerpiece (and thats the computer itself).

Thanks again, I'm gonna go pick it up a little after lunch.

Yeah...iTunes for windows fucking blows....

Let me know how you like it.....

The 4s is not the same, in terms of a dual core processor...Siri, (which is actually pretty good), that camera's lens is probably one of the best in the biz......and iTunes sucks....lol.\]

I think people are expecting Apple to come out with this brand new space-age device every time it drops a phone....they revolutionized the smartphone game.....

Well android is almost a direct copy of ios appearance and a bad one at that.

so I'm gonna stick with Win based toys

Android is is no way windows based.

iTunes sucks

I have to say, I need to use itunes all the time and while I don't think it sucks it can sure drive me freaking crazy. Apple does need to make some changes here.

Im not talking about the appearance of the os, I'm talking about the phone itself!

Androids music apps work well with Win (drag and drop mp3's -vs- using a program to install music).

On that note, after owning an Android I actually like using itunes to load music better. Mainly because itunes will make sure the song is tagged correctly. I have dragged music to my android and I get all these "unknown artist" tags. Its pretty crappy actually.

I'm talking about the phone itself!

hey if you get it right the first time :)

but honestly Android copied that to.

I agree...that's the benefit of having iTunes....those unknown artist tags are freaking awful.

Thats because the correct info isn't in your folder to begin with. It's not difficult to add whatevers missing. Any music that I use on my system has ALL of the info where it needs to be, so everytime I update my mp3 player or phone, I have the album art, the song title, and info correct BEFORE I transfer it.
