When discussing vocal mixing and arranging what would you consider the best software. I currently use Acid pro 7 and im in the market looking for something different.
I honestly believe is just a issue with the samples or kit you are using. What hardware or software are you using. What are you using for you mixing and EQ?
I use a Alesis USB studio mixer, its relatively small about the size of a MPC 1000, but it has all the inputs and outputs, faders and effects you would ever need. Plus the USB capability makes it very easy for use with a computer.
Hip-hop has indeed simplified, production, lyrically, but its the culture that eats it up. Mainstream music is what sells...no matter how much i hate it. and of course the industry lives and dies on money.
I just got cubase and now have. Cubase, Audacity, acid 6, and FL studio 8 producer edition. which ones do i need to keep. Cubase is the only one i got legally.

I would say try to get something like a MPD24 or 16 but look on ebay or criaglists for them. You most likely should get yourself some kind of turntable. maybe not for scratching but something solid for sampling. There is a good chance if you spend you money right on ebay or criaglist you could...
