Mixing question in FL
How do you know what your final mix level is in FLStudio if the master track in the mixing console is only telling you what the mix coming "in" is peaking at and not the final mix going out? If you add any effects to the master track, is there a db meter that shows if I'm still at -3 or -6db as... -

sampled all the way. you can't beat an old dusty loop from vinyl and a nasty drum break to match. -

Looking for hip hop tracks about....
struggle, endurance, or children. i'm not looking for a big list, just throw out a few songs that come to mind. i need to add some cuts to the hook for a project i'm working on and those 3 words describe the theme of one of the songs. i'd prefer to keep it real hip hop, underground type...- djryval

Flea Market Diggin Today
i copped 20 records at a flea market saturday. found alot of good stuff, esp some 60's and 70's rock tunes (allman brothers, led zepplin, etc). flea markets can be a very good source for cheap vinyl. -

Garageband is a great program
we use it to record all of our tracks and do some mixing and mastering. it's a dope program. i create the beats in flstudio and then my best friend/emcee loads it into gb, and takes it from there. he's made some nice beats with it too. -
