Question about hardware.

Digidesign Mbox 2 with Pro Tools LE 7
Yeah thats nice and all, but without the 8 outs for your mpc, you'll only be able to track two tracks in one pass through the master/stereo outs... That why I was asking. I'm guessing you don't have the expansion board for the 2K. But if you go with the Mbox, you wouldn't use it anyway as...- Snuffdaddy

Mpc 1000 compact flash card question.
Yeah, the MPC will use either Type I or II no problem. Some devices are able to take advantage of Type II CF cards' better read/write speed, though the MPC is not one of them, so it really doesn't matter. The only other difference between Type I and II cards is the card thickness... CF Type I...- Snuffdaddy

How To Get Songs Off The Akai Mpc 2000
I have a Tascam cd burner that I just record to from my mixers main outs (mpc 8 outs go into the mixer). It works fine for me and I'm not itchin' for anything more. But for max editability of your beats, go with 50 Cal's suggestion of the interface/software multi-tracker.- Snuffdaddy

Why I love my MPC ...
Fair enough. I know a few people that made the switch to the MV (from MPC) and they like it. Others went back to their MPCs. Just depends I guess. Thats definitely strange. ...As long as you sure you had the phono/line switch in the phono position when you were trying before. You buy it new or second hand?- Snuffdaddy

You sure its not a setting on the mixer? You've got whichever channel the turntable is connected to assigned to phono (not line)? Master volume isn't all the way down? Crossfader and channel faders are alright, too? Can you try running a line signal into the line in and see if anything comes...- Snuffdaddy
