helix - yea defo agree with you that the more i dig samples the more i seem to lose respect for producers of certain tracks, some tracks that you think are great, some you don't even realised were sampled and then you hear the original and can make a copy of the beat in about 10 mins ! -

yea i know what you mean its always nice when you stumble across that sample that you know is gonna sound hot, or you find a real good sound or beat or woteva ! Reason ? Looping/Chopping Samples !
I usually chop all my samples up in cool edit and then put them into to reason using an nn-xt, this has worked fine but im wondering can i put a sample in the nn-xt and then use it in my song but having looping from different points throughout the song without loading it into a number of... -
Whats the best sampling software?
i always use cool edit pro to chop up my wavs etc then from there i put them into reason and use the nn-xt or woteva ! The only thing i don't like about cool edit is it doesnt tell the bpm of the sample i mite switch to re-cycle eventually as i hear this does ! but for this at the moment im just... -

my choice is dr dre, simply b'coz everything he puts out i like, hes had a number of classic albums e.g chronic, 2001, and put in work for many others eg. early snoop stuff ! He's even had crossover hits with mary j and eve ! He just always seems to get it right wen it comes to beats, and maybe... -

oxygen midi-controller
i've got the ozone which is basically the same but with an audio interface in it aswell ! its not a synth as such its just a midi controller so its just used to control the sounds you got on the PC nothing comes built in ! -

Hip Hop software
i use reason i don't think its probably the easiest program to make hip hop beats on but once u've mastered it it allows you to make quality beats of any kind really ! i've used acid and fruity loops before, which are a bit more basic but i don't think it matters its what you make of it more...
