    You do know that a 64 bit processor is worthless with out windows xp 64bit edition running on top. If you are running XP home or XP pro you are not getting 64 bit performance as they are 32bit operating systems. and on another note ALL intel processors are now 64bit.

    I have never liked creative sound cards, the AD/DA convertors just sound wrong. Check out RME or Apogge for some real audio devices (and more $$)

    I think TDM is around 128 tracks. And that is more than enough, but still silly to limit it these days. And thats one of the (many) reasons I like Nuendo/Samplitude/Logic over Pro tools. Pro tools has so many silly limitations. But if you want to work in a real studio someday you need to know it...

    Use Pro tools for does what it does best, edit audio. It rocks at that. But Sonar is a much better creative tool. If I had to pick one it would be sonar. But tools are tools....

    Right, fire up the maudio software and see if it says connected. You have to remember that the mac is very different from your PC, there is no new hardware found dialog.
