Can Reason Produce The Big Sound?
The best way to get a big kick is in the equing, try to eq the mix in reason so nothing distorts(makes the peak indicator go off), just mix the kicks higher in the mix and everything else lower. myspace sound qualitity question
I have also found similar problems when playing a track in realplayer. I can mix it so it sounds nice but as soon as it on realplayer it sounds crap, distorting. I can play the same mp3 on mediaplayer and it sounds fine. Anyone else notice this? It normally happens when I mix for high volume.- 2GooD Productions

Thanks Afrique, I appreciate that, I really was ready to start again. As for xtra instrumentation, I was thinking more along the lines of subtle chords, and fills. Reason 4.0 & Radium 49: Possible midi problem?
Its possibly down to buffer and bitrate settings. Or what you have set as your midi time code, I think it should be set to internal. Try playing tracks with less going on and if they play fine its prob buffer settings, try increasing the buffer size, this will adversly affect the latency, but...- 2GooD Productions

Spanish. That flip is dope, I like the use of the vocal samples, and the drums hit hard, great flip. ps I dont use VST's at the moment, I just equed the hell out of each track. Pro Tools Makes me want to shoot myself in the F$%king Head!
Because I use reason I need a good visual mixing program like PT whenever I track out and go the whole nine. Sometimes I will just mix in reason, but being able to spectrum analyze the tracks while equing in PT using the Wavearts Trackplug 5 plugin it can help mixing no end. Although its a sample flip, I chopped real small and composed with the chops and then composed everything over that. The track is pretty much 95% composed, including the piano.
