I dig. Probably got about 700 records or so, although we dont have a single store selling vinyl in my town (population only 15000). Just try to get to know a lot of old people who are ready to give or sell their collection. I never loop though. -

Sampling vinyl question
Two reasons why I dont sample from mp3's: 1. Mp3's sound quality is poorer than the sound quality on vinyl or cd. Thats the reason why mp3 files are so much smaller than waves, they're compressed. Try downloading a song that you already got on a cd, burn it to cd and compare. 2. I sample... -

how long do you normally spend on a track
I'll finish a beat in like one or two weeks. Sometimes it takes me over a month. I really have to doubt the quality of the music made in fifteen minutes. -

Cubase sx 2,0 problem
Here's my problem. I installed cubase a few days ago an it doesnt seem to work with my soundcard, although its supposed to. I have a M-audio Audiophile Usb soundcard. It seems as if the sound goes into cubase, but cubase doesnt send the sound to my soundcard. Can anybody help me here. -

Scsi cd drive for mpc problem.
so if you have a cd-drive connected to your mpc its only meant for reading cd's, not storring data on the cds? -

Scsi cd drive for mpc problem.
Ok, I got a Mitshubishi chemical, external cd-rw, and when i hook it up do my mpc the mpc goes like:"Scsi read error". Anyone here who knows if this is a problem i can fix or maybe the cd-rw doesnt work with my mpc. Its a mpc2000 non xl. Help appreciated. -

That's one of the problems, i didnt get the manual. The zip drive is on Id 5 so the mpc recognises the zip on Id5, but the mpc can't read when the computer (wich is also connected to the zip drive) is on. Im sorry i didnt quite get your answer. -

How do i set ID's? on the back of the zip drive there are too buttons. One to turn the termination on or off (whatever the hell that is) and another one called SCSI and you can choose from 5-6... -
