how do you feel about sampling mp3s?
MP3s are a more accessible way to sample and there is just a lot more possibility. But I started sampling off dollar crates vinyls and what comes out is way more creative in my case. I'll still flip samples that I found online tho, I like the possibility to do both. BTW I sample 1-5$ vinyls... -

I really like the Hi Hats. The mixing is very well done too, the bass is dope. The only thing I would say (and this is more of a personal taste) is that I found that the two main snares in the first part and at the end to clash with each other. Maybe add attack on the lower end one ? Keep it up...- LbrT

I have been making music and DJing for 5-6 years now on and off. And I have started a 9-5 in may so that got me questioning where I wanted to go and starting to put up a plan ! -
Music Theory Videos
Yeah I have a few beats from scratch but I find it a lot more intuitive to start from a sample. But the creative process of starting from scratch is really cool and I do need to push myself to do it more often ! -

I like the drums on your track. I can't say I'm a big fan of the piano sound as it sounds a little too much like a preset. I think with little tweaks to customize the sound your song can be a banger ! Great drums. Simple yet very effective. I don't particularly like the bass, it clashes with...- LbrT

Great Article. I agree 100%! Unlike most people, I started sampling from online sources and then tried vinyl. I do prefer the creative process implied with going out to cratedig and listening to the music while looking at the sleeve. It inspires me and keeps me focused. But I would never say... -
