Akai MPC X

I finally got another MPC. I have a used Akai MPC X on layaway. I going to replace the front metal face plate, the plastic red side panels and the rubber pads. Can’t wait!

I had an old Akai years back. Lately been just using DAW FL studio which is pretty awesome once you get the hang it it. I can use anything once get the hang of timing the chops with the BPM on the piano rolls

I’ve used a lot of different things over the years with friends and on my own but will be strictly using the X and Slice X on FL Studio. Love flipping samples but I’m just practicing trying to get better and better at it. Need to start working on my mixing more than anything now

Yeah, I was using slicex when I first got into sampling. I got a mpc one a few years ago and I absolutely love it. Dope shit!!!

I owe $500 left on the Akai X. I’ll post the before and after pics! Can’t wait!

Congrats! I tried out the MPC One and it was cool but I didn't realize from the pictures that the pads are not full size. It was fun using the touchscreen but I found it to be a bit hard to press certain items. But I would love to try the X with a bigger screen and workspace. It must be fun as hell.

Exactly! On the Akai MPC ONE the button are smaller. Time to work on mastering the X!

Yeah, that's right. The ONE has smaller pads and the touch screen isn't responsive as Mr Fade noted. The X just looks baddass imo. Kinda looks like a mpc renaissance. Truly a centerpiece for any studio.

That's always been my impression of it. I never got the Ren because I had Maschine at the time, but the X looks similar. It's a nice layout overall.

If anyone here has an MPC X and is bored with it, just give it to me so I can give it a good home!
